"My introduction to the Patch Fitness System began while viewing a television program following pro athletes going through their off-season training regime. I was instantly captivated with what appeared to be an innovative yet effective training program that could yield the strength and conditioning results demanded by professionals or those just looking for a challenging way to train. Upon further research, I discovered the Railyard Obstacle Course and its application for the youth population.
Since my business is in youth fitness, certification as a Youth Fitness Conditioning Specialist with the IYCA, I have embraced the opportunity to integrate the Railyard Course and Patch Fitness into my youths conditioning programs. The addition of the Railyard Course has added variation and more importantly, elements of fun and excitement to their fitness activities. This is especially important for elementary school aged children, as they are able to participate and find enjoyment in this engaging activity. While playing they are developing areas of strength, balance, range of motion, and overall athletic ability.
With proper instruction I have witnessed children make immediate improvements in coordination and movement skills, while gaining confidence with their newly discovered abilities. The Railyard Course provides a wonderful implement for motivating children to get out and move. They look forward to exercise and are often left wanting more. The design of the course makes it simple to safely adjust the difficulty of movements on the system making it easier when you have kids of varying ages, levels of fitness, or athletic ability.
